Les Paul: Chasing Sound

Great song? Good show? Bad movie? What should be enjoyed and what should be avoided.

Les Paul: Chasing Sound

A TV show by the same name. Watch it if you love modern music.

A truly gifted man, somewhat overshadowed by the emergence of Rock and Roll. Note the credit and praise given by R&R and R&B greats, including McCartney, Keith Richards, BB King and others.

He contributed so much in the technology of recording music, to making amazing music. Which I never appreciated. :(

His first solid body guitar was framed on a 4x4 plank. Gibson did not appreciate the potential until the Telecaster took off. The rest was history. But Les Paul was the first. And the first. And ... the first. 8)

I've got this on my must-watch film, but have yet to see it.

Another along those same lines (and I have to admit I'm not a fan of any of the guys in the film) is It Might Get Loud (see here: http://www.sonyclassics.com/itmightgetloud/). It's excellent as well.
Is there such a thing?

Les Paul was a genius if ever there was one.
