Out on a long bicycle ride today (I went over 90km, still can't crack the 20km/h average speed barrier though).
While stopped at a traffic light near Paya Lebar, I saw a jet aircraft flying low, really really low, over the buildings. It looked like it was about to land.
Since this is a long long way from Changi airport, I would say either (i) something had gone seriously wrong, or (ii) it was a military aircraft landing at Paya Lebar airstrip.
My first impression, in the first second or so of the view (and there were only a few seconds) was that it looked like a fairly standard issue twin-engine civilian jet. Big, at least 737 or A320 big, quite possibly bigger. Definitely a jet, one engine under each wing. Wingtips curved up a bit, not sure whether they were really curved or sharply bent up. I didn't really make out any markings on it.

So it could have been an A-330. Any other possibilities?
The civilian passenger jets have all started to look alike. There are the A-380 and the 747, but they're both on the way out - the rest are all twin-engine jets.
