The City of Aurora, IL wrote:Tap Water Update
Increased algae in the Fox River are causing some City of Aurora residents to notice a change* in the normal taste and odor of their tap water. Aurora’s water treatment plant is continuously monitoring and adjusting the treatment process to minimize the effects of the algae. In addition, as the number of algae in the river decreases, the taste and odor should improve. While the tap water is perfectly safe to drink, residents may continue to experience an unusual taste or odor for a period of time as the affected water passes through the distribution system.
* A change? This crap tastes like sewer sludge.
Lemon seems to kill it though, and I didn't notice it in my morning coffee.
