Heh. Kind of spooky. Midnight, board time, just ticked over and I am listed as the only registered user today. So far.
Reminds me of a story my uncle told me years ago.
He was an executive in Heinz (yeah, the Ketchup company) and in the early '60's, went to Japan to start operations there.
In the late '60's, he returned to the USA. Detroit, specifically. (Not his home town, but a familiar haunt.) As was his wont, he took a walk in the evening, after eating dinner at the hotel.
Remember, he had been out of the country for almost a decade.
He noticed something very ... creepy. He was the only one walking the streets.
Now, my uncle was not a small man ... about 6"6, and no lightweight.
He said he walked down the middle of the street back to his hotel, and doubletimed it.
Times had changed.
"He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you."
-Friedrich Nietzsche
