& I was told .. to USE the php3 ending IF I wanted it to work

Is there a particular problem you're having HUb'?

The file extension .php is the correct extension for PHP files on this server. The extension .php3 will fail because it is not mapped to a script engine.

If you were using a host that had mapped the extension .php3, then that would have been the correct extension to use on that server.

it was long ago, I do NOT REMember any of the details whatsoever

only that I had to Use 3 to get whatever it was I was up to at that time

to work here at the UNIVERSITY.

I will say its UNIX? or whatever system this Fourth Ave Building is on
AS the rest of the UNIVERSity is closed as far as Computer access goes
Today (Break+Saturday} So I haffta use this UNIX 1? as I can get in here

my guess? is the current versions called FEDorA {maybe that was the
one before this one} Befor that there was RED HAT and several others
I don use UNIX enough to even keep track of what the CURRENT 1 is?
