Closed: Do we have any use for a wiki?

[RESOLVED]
I found a couple of free/open source wiki engines that look pretty cool. I'm thinking about putting one up here but for the life of me I can't come up with a good reason to do it other than "I like new toys".

So I figured before either just doing it, or dismissing it, I would present it to the floor for discussion.

The floor is open...

*blink*

I like new toys. That reason alone calls for immediate installation.

Besides, who really cares if there are too many wing-dings on here? I mean, as long as you don't wind up like those neon letters with many gif images on black backgroud woo-woo sites...

ground... I'm unsure of the reason, but that looks funny to me tonight. It's spelt right... wait... is spelt even a word? Darn those first-week essays in pre-composition class! I now feel the need to proofread to near perfection rather than say, "Eh, they'll get the point."

I'm done rambling now.

Ever use WikiPedia? That's one kind of a wiki.

Yes, I'm a longtime contributor, but how would we need something like that on a forum like this?

That's my question exactly...

Off-hand, I can't think of a reason. But I found one, so before just dismissing it I thought I'd ask.

I figured it could be used as a document repository like an enhanced FAQ. We just don't seem to have too much documentation at this point to worry about it though.
