[RESOLVED]
for reasons I do not comprehend, I've had to scroll the site back and forth the last couple of days. too wide for my monitor, man--what's changed, and can we change it back?

I see it now. It's the Google ad block at the bottom of the page. I just put that in a few days ago.

No need to strike that out, Candy. You were right in giving that advice. That just as well would have resolved gullianren's problem.
