Our brave Tunisian lads are up later, I have them in our office sweepstake so two reasons to support them.

I don't think they're going to provide much satisfaction to us today, but here's hoping.

Maybe our English friends will succumb to Sick Favourite Syndrome, too.

Sweden currently beating South Korea 1-0, which is my prediction for the final score, with 20 mins to go. What does it take to get a game abandoned with the score remaining valid these days? Probably more than a dog on the pitch. A rash of sendings-off after the 60th minute or something used to do it.

No need.

Indeed, that panned out OK. Now I need those chocolate eating and waffle making brewers of quite nice beer to beat the cigar smoking hat wearing canal aficionados 4-0 as a sign the predictor gods have decided to smile on me this day.

Rabid drivers ans waffle-cookers 3 - 0 cigar-smoking offshore tax havenists

Do you get something for being almost right?

I do indeed. I get two points, as opposed to the six a 4-0 would have given. I have England to win 2-0 tonight. The resultant predictor points would be some compensation for the general awfulness of such a result.

ESPN told me that Eng-ur-land must score early. It's the 11th minute already, and they haven't scored, yet. Is it too late, now? Or is it still early (like a east-coast/west-coast thing)? Or maybe Eng-ur-land are like Wizards.

And just like that, the wizards have to go and ruin my bit of fun.

1 -1 at the half. Maybe there is hope for a fun evening, even though it will ruin Lianachan's score.

70th minute, no really dangerous situations for our Maghrebinian cousins so far.

And there it is.

England 2 - 1 Tunisia.

A header from the captain after a corner. Aw well, I suppose it was a well-deserved decider.

Good old BBC. A late winner after a shite second half against a poor opposition and England are on their way to winning the world cup.

Indeed, I expect them to be talking about likely semi-final opponents by tea time.

Battle of the Bacon and the Barbie currently sitting at 1-1, with the Fosters swilling shrimp burners edging it from what I've seen.

I need the Lego hawkers to win 2-1.
