The wheels of the Universe have turned such that Greuther, already unlikely to be relegated directly (6 pts. above Ulm with two matches to go, and they're travelling to Hamburg tonight), are still above the death zone. Following Braunschweig's crushing at the hands of Elversberg, we remain in 15th, 0 points and now eight goals above the relegation spot.
However, the wheels of the Universe have also turned such that Braunschweig are at home to Deä Glubb in the final round next week. That is a problem because Nuremberg have nothing to gain or lose anymore and may not feel particularly inclined to strain their collective muscle in order to help the local derby rival to stay in the League. And we have the away game against Hannover (tomorrow) and the final home game against almost-certain-to-be-promoted Hamburg in front of us. I really don't know where the points should be coming from. So the playoff spot is probably going to be ours. Aaand, just FYI, the last four relegations playoffs were all won by the third-Leaguer, so...
