A day late, but it was crosswinds all day at La Vuelta Femenina yesterday, always fun watching large (relatively) north Europeans malleting smaller Mediterranean types.
Get it up ye.

Eintracht Braunschweig 3 - 3 SpVgg Greuther Fürth

We didn't win against the second-from-bottom teamwhen they were a man down for an entire half, because we squandered the proverbial late penalty. This season must end.

Played 164, won 77, drawn 33, lost 54.

Ross County 2 - 1 Hibs

Important 3 points, and results elsewhere move us up 2 points clear of the play-off spot.

Played 165, won 78, drawn 33, lost 54.

And neither are we---

SV Elversberg 4 - 2 Hertha BSC

With that glorious and hard-fought win, recently promoted Elversberg, from the depths of the Saarland, ensure they stay in the league. Hertha were all too happy to leave the points down south. This season really, really must end.

Played 166, won 78, drawn 33, lost 55.

Ant yes, by ze vay, Dublin, hier, too, ve come. Ve call it Zangenangriff. Forget Bayern.

Big Pharma Leverkusen nau entshoy ze longest unbeaten run in competetive matches sints European competitions haff existed. Zey haff now pusht Benfica from ze top spot, at 49 games. Take zat, Europe!

(P. S. Rangers still lead the unbeaten table from the era before there were international competitions: 65 games, and it was between 1915-1917. That will hardly be beaten, ever...)

Auld Auntie one up against K'Town. That would at least give us some revenge for the Cup defeat (K'town progressed to the Final, btw. ). AND it would keep K'Town in the struggle against relegation, hehe.

One all even before the half. Of course we squandered about 7 chances to score the two nil.

3 -1 after an hour. I would happily swap this result for the result in the Cup. But hey, Auld Auntie!

At least we still have a record from 1917.

The season should have ended last week!

To the point, Union managed to turn a 2-1 lead into a 2-3 defeat in the last 5 minutes - against direct competitor, Cologne. Since Dortmund managed to be routed 0-3 by the other relegation competitor, Mainz, this was a black day for Berlin hopes in the Bundesliga.

Rangers 5 - 2 Dundee

Two nil down at one point, of course we couldn't beat them a couple of weeks ago when it still mattered.

Played 172, won 81, drawn 34, lost 57.

St Johnstone 1 - 1 Ross County

A classic six-pointer. One match left this season, and we're 2 points clear of St J who occupy the play-off spot. So basically we need to do at least as well in our match against very in-form Aberdeen as they do against tombola-results Motherwell.

Played 173, won 81, drawn 35, lost 57.

In a mostly uneventful last match day of the Bundesliga, Leverkusen are the Champions not having lost a single game - a first in Bundesliga history. They don't clinch the recordd for most points, though - they are still one behind Bayern's 91 pts. in the 2012/13 season.

The only significant news is that Union manage to scrape into 15th place, ahead of Bochum on GD, after winning against Freiburg by a penalty in injury time - which they managed to miss first and then converted on the rebound. Bochum, who had beaten them on their home turf only two weeks ago, managed to lose, 1-4, against a Werder Bremen who were only playing to make it into their vacation uninjured. Football, bloody hell.

Tomorrow, Hertha and Greuther, in 8th and 9th place, respectively, are toughing it out for the highly official IrU German Branch Championship. Hertha are away to last-placed, already relegated VfL Osnabrück (and don't we know how that'll turn out? ). Greuther host their lower neighbour in the table, FC Schalke 04, whom I hope they'll thrash. Ecpect me to get very, very emotional

Greuther goalless at the half, Hertha at one all. Hamburg are leading in the Arneb in-laws derby against deä Glubb, 3-1.

Hertha managed to throw the season in the bin with aplomb losing on the last day away to the worst team of the League, 2 - 1. As they would, naturally.

Greuther, however, pulled themselves together and thrashed Schalke, two-nil, taking the Highly Official German IrU Branch Soccer Football Championship (HOGIBSOFOOC) title this season. Hamburg thrashed deä Glubb, as is only right. Still, they didn't get within reach of promotion to the Bundesliga, which had been their natural habitat for like 54 years - until seven years ago.

Played 175, won 82, drawn 35, lost 58.
