I watched that film with my parents on TV in the early 80s, and I was very probably below the age rating. But I remember well the utter suspense and the marvelous pacing, along with RR's acting, which was just superb.

I just checked the guide and it's not on anytime in the next 2 weeks but I'm going to keep an eye out for it. I haven't seen it for a while and it is worth watching again.

Violence & Gore

Frequent moderate gun violence, sometimes bloody. There are however stronger scenes of gore, including a character getting shot in the kneecap, a man getting stabbed in the hand with a pencil and a man having acid poured on him (not actually seen, but the body is flailing around)

Comedy?

No, the film is quite unfunny.

I figured. That was actually my bad attempt at comedy.

I am talking about the French original. There was,IIRC, a Hollywood remake a few years ago. Think addict turned professional killer kind of espionagey

There is truck language in the film which is an expression for gross profanity (like shit, asshole, etc.)
