Meet NGC 805, an altogether unremarkable lenticular galaxy in the constellation Triangulum, 70 k ly diamter, around 200 million ly away. We're unlikely to see a lot of this galaxy in the news.

809 was the area code for the Bahamas in the North American telephone numbering plan.

Because telephone numbers in the Bahamas appeared to people in the US and Canada as typical North American numbers, but were actually outside of US/Canadian regulation, an 809-scam developed, in which people were encouraged to call some 809 number for whatever reason, and would then receive a very expensive bill for the call.

813 AD, the Byzantines get shagged bandy by the Bulgars, offered safe passage to the Bulgar khan, ambushed him in violation of that but he escaped. That's as good as it got for the Empire that year as he took it out of the Byzantine lands in the Balkans.
