RIP: Al Worden

The command module pilot for Apollo 15, Worden was once considered to have been the most isolated human, being at times over 2,200 miles away from his compatriots on the lunar surface. Worden also made several appearances on Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. He was 88.

Wow. I'm wondering how it is possible that there was an Apollo astronaut whose name I do not recognise.

Another one gone. I am losing hope any of them will live to see their successors say ni-hao from the surface of the Moon.

I saw a US politician use the expression ChiCom yesterday. I thought it had been consigned to history, I hate to think what the Trump administration would say if Taikonauts beat SpaceForce to the Moon.
