Some news sources say he's died, and others that he's clinging on to life.

Last dance is over, the family confirmed that he had passed away peacefully in his sleep.

I liked him.
I might even suffer through The Postman again just because he was in it.
Sad to hear, and at a bit of an early age. He had spoke of retiring, so he could spend more time with his grand-daughter. :(
