Wring and I used to go to a place that served mainly VietNamese, and they had a large screen TV for karaoke. People got up and sang popular tunes in their thick accents. For whatever reason we connected with Wichita Lineman, a big hit for Campbell.
"I am rine-man for county, and I dlive main load. Rooking for sign of over-road."
I only knew Glen Campbell as an actor who strummed a bit until I saw a programme about The 'Wrecking Crew and realised what a good guitarist he was.

He was on a lot of studio recordings everyone is familiar with, but would never think of. Like Sinatra's "Strangers in the Night", Wayne Newton "Danke Schoen", and with The Monkees. Just an amazing player. It was very sad to see the decline in his later years. It was nice to see his kids play on stage with him.

I just found out he toured as part of the Beach Boys for a few months to replace Brian Wilson.
He came to fame as a musician and song writer. it was later that that led to acting.
