At first, I suspected foul play. But facing 5 - 55 years in jail, I might make the same choice.
What did she do that was so wrong? If procuring merits a death sentence, then all her customers should line up at the gallows as well.
I wonder if all her high profile clients had rallied around her and stated, "She did no wrong, if any wrong was done, we are to blame. And if she is convicted, we are equally culpable," if it would have made a difference. Men of honour, gentlemen all.
