RIP Charlton Heston

Postby pmcolt » Sun Apr 06, 2008 5:01 am

Charlton Heston reportedly passed away today at his home in Beverly Hills. Heston was a noted political activist, NRA figurehead, and survivor of a biowar that wiped out all of civilization, a Malthusian catastrophe, enslavement by the Romans and the Egyptians, and a maniacal society of self-righteous apes, among other things. Heston was 84.

Alzheimers is a horrible way to go. I'm glad his suffering is over.

Rest in peace, you damn dirty ape.

A powerful actor who played important, memorable roles. Also passionately involved in American politics. I did not always agree with his choices, but admire his committment.

I am sad to hear that he may have lived too long, brought down by a cruel disease.

"When will you make an end?" "When I am finished."

You have finally made an end, Chuck. And you did good. :=D:

Excuse me, Mr. Heston, may I have that gun, now?

Coincidentally, last week's episode of Big Bang Theory involved a marathon showing of Planet of the Apes.

May he indeed rest in peace.
