Now that the laughing has died down, I must admit I'm of two minds about this.
The first is simple: in the State of New York, prostitution and pandering is a crime. He has admitted his guilt and therefore should step down, no whimpering about reasons, sorrow, etc. allowed. Goodbye, Eliot.
The second is that I don't care about a person's sex life. As long as you're not hurting anyone, then I really don't care what you do between the sheets (so to speak) as long as you're consenting adults (therein lies the rub - anything else and I'm an advocate of the death penalty ... really). Prostitution should be legalized ... and taxed. Perhaps the last goes against my libertarian ideals, but it would be one way to raise funds needed for our armed forces and infrastructure and it would be a voluntary tax. Works for me.

Is there such a thing?
