She has served her time and been deemed suitable to return to society; it is an interesting reminder of earlier days though. Back then there was no question that terrorists went through the normal criminal justice system, albeit an ultra high security version.
The Red Army Faction/Baader Meinhof/Baader Ensslin/Meinhof Lake & Palmer splits and schisms always seemed like the PFLP etc. sketch in The life of Brian, though without the comedy.
I always do a double take when non-UK media refer to her mob as the RAF. :D

It may or may not surprise you as well to learn that there is a special law here making contributions to IRA accounts tax deductible...

I'm really not sure how to take this news, you know? Yes, she did serve her time. Yes, she appears to be rehabilitated and, by all accounts I've read, she received a fair trial.
However, I'm not sure I'm ready for forgiveness just yet, you know?
And yes, the RAF is a good one. That's a "Huh?" moment for sure.
