Rest in Peace: Tim Allen

Postby Bill EE » Fri Feb 09, 2007 9:20 pm

No - not that Tim Allen. The Tim Allen I am talking about was a man who loved to work with kids and was a leader in the local Boy Scout troop. He died last week in a motorcycle accident.

It is funny how we post these RIP threads for famous people who really don't mean much in our lives while the ones who do matter get little attention.

Sorry for the interruption but I was a little pissed at all the coverage Ms. Smith death is getting after coming back from the service.
"Mars" is also a chocolate bar found on Earth. These are highly concentrated sources of carbohydrates, which are of vital importance to many carbon based life forms. Mars bars are slightly rippled with a flat underside. They are sometimes used in English courtship rituals in which the female performs various allegorical oral acts with the chocolate bar, which is donated by the male as part payment for this spectacle.

My condolences to you in regards to your friend.

However, I respectfully disagree that celebrity deaths don't merit this kind of attention. I can name at least a dozen people whom I've never met personally but through music, movies, or television have had a great positive impact on my life and will be sorely missed on whatever future date the news comes in (assuming I'm still alive, which for most of them I probably will be).

Most people are more than willing to give support when others' friends or family pass away, even when the deceased is someone we've never met, as is usually the case. So please don't feel like we're not here for you.

I posted about Cyndi losing an uncle just last week.

No apology necessary. I'm glad you posted about someone who was important to you. And you have my deepest sympathy.

However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

The hardest part was explaining to my 6 year old son.

umop ap!sdn - I did not mean this board puts up unworthly people (always). I got back into the car from the service and they were talking about Anna Nichole Smith over and over. While many of us are affected my celebs through their work - the gushing for this women is going over the top.

Sorry if I sounded harsh and thanks for the support.
