This article is essentially a layman's condensation of several articles and papers that have appeared in Science and elsewhere, explaining why people have supernatural beliefs, etc.

And yes, before I get angry PMs from any people here complaining that I am attempting to further my skeptic agenda (if there is indeed one), it is an attempt to get people to think critically of events around them.
