Muslim toying with his beard

Is it okay to kill in the name of God? Can ethics, morals and technology peacefully co-exist?

Muslim toying with his beard

Notice the old man toying with his beard until he notices the camera - watch for his reaction.

Is it a funeral or something? Looks like he was sitting there bored but wanted to pay lip service to the camera.

I'm not so sure that finger was in his beard just before the camera reaches him. . .
They call me Mr Celsius!

Out of curiosity, why is this even in "Religion and Spirituality"? Where's the religious or spiritual discussion?

Allow me to interject one: "Every time a Muslim picks his nose, Jesus kills a kitten"

Discuss.

I'm glad you brought this up, it's certainly nothing to sneeze at .. or is it? :-k

While some people automatically assume that Muslim nose-picking results in a Jesus kitten-killing spree, it's actually a case of allergies, skewed perception, and the urban legends of our Western culture. What actually happens is some people (Muslim and otherwise) are allergic to animals and a dead feline qualifies. With me so far? OK, an itchy nose is the by-product of such allergies and when a Muslim scratches his/her nose it's often misconstrued as he/she's "picking" it. (This misperception is not just confined to the itchy noses of select Muslims, as other personalities/ideologues of every persuasion are cited at one time or another). The involvement of Jesus is just the byproduct of Catholicism's preeminence in our Western culture. In Eastern cultures, as you would expect, Buddha is the kitty-killer and in the northern polar regions it's Santa or, in the case of some Inuit chauvinist bachelors, it's Mrs. Claus during a rather vivid PMS episode.

Well, the fact that people are talking about this, for one.

There is no evidence, biblical or otherwise, that Jesus even dislikes cats..."and I say unto you, whosoever squashes a kitten in my name will burn in the everlasting fires of Gehenna." I'm pretty sure that's from Revelations, but it could be from Acts. So Jesus actually likes kittens. I'm not so sure he's fond of nosepickers though.

This all reminds me of Firefly...
