6 is an important number. You add 7 and you have 13, the number of original American colonies. reverse that and you have 31, which is two years less than the age at which Jesus was crucified...

Hmm, and in Christian tradition, 13 is an unlucky number, because Judas was the 13th man.

That explains a lot.
