For your amusement

There is so much wrong with this.

Travel hundreds of light years, just to peep into some guys window? No protection against viruses/parasites/environmental differences? Oh, I could go on ...

At the very best, I will allow that someone is playing a practical joke on Romanek ... did he not think to go outside and find out?*

*ETA: Sorry, he said he did go outside, but it had "disappeared". Must have put on its "ring of invisibility."

This is just silliness.

Allow me to make a suggestion. The next time you have an extraterrestrial peeping tom peeking through your window, instead of shooting footage of it, just shoot it! An alien corpse will be much more convincing than grainy nightcam video.

What sort of Coloradan doesn't keep a twelve-gauge next to his bed?

Shouldn't that be Beijing Tom these days?

What's odd is this reminds me of a video clip I saw about 10 years ago on the show In Search Of, which depicted an "extraterrestrial" peering very briefly through a window. Just popped up and immediately ducked back down. Of course that video was very poor quality, and whatever it was looked nothing like whatever is in that still frame.

Well ... you know what I'd do!

With a little teriyaki on the side!

Horrified scientists and true believers would want to collect my stool for the evidence. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Sigh ... I amuse myself ...

The only thing this has to float it at all is the eye blink, that part is impressive. :)

It might be well advised to be cautious about eating an extraterrestrial - if such a being evolved elsewhere in the universe then their biochemistry is likely to be very different from ours. They could be highly toxic. Then too, that also means they would likely find our oxygenated atmosphere to be lethal, so perhaps a good general rule is if any show up in a space suit and bubble helmet then they're probably best left alone.

Now if there is ET life that's compatible with our chemistry then it would be fun to sample their cuisine - at least since amino acids are so common (and versatile!) we can be pretty well assured that there'll be a decent protein content.

OK, Enzo, I just got it. Peeking/Peking - Beijing.

That place name keeps evolving. It has been:

Beijing, Peking, Peiping, Beiping, and who knows what else.

I was going for Peiping, but peeking is close enough.

Now we have Bombay become Mumbai. I can see the tourist campaign...

"Mumbai for a visit."

This isn't a cookbook for humans, it's a cookbook FOR humans!

If we did eat them, it would give them pause to stop and think about visiting all our backwoods barnyards where they tend to kidnap illiterate rednecks and sodomize them, no?

And if not ... LET'S EAT THEM!!!

So is ET kosher? Do I serve with red or white wine? Medium-rare or well-done?

If we're talking Grey aliens then gray wine would be best, but failing that I'd say white. (Strieber and Walton each describe them as almost white anyways.) But if they're little green men, then red wine would probably be best since it's a complimentary color.
