Watching football in Arizona. The stadium is enclosed but with an open roof over the field. But not enough sunlight for healthy grass. The field is natural grass. SO they put the field on rollers and run it outdoors most of the time, and run it in for games.

LMAO.

I know you're supposed to take the dog out for a walk, but I didn't realise you had to take the grass out also.

I just hold the dog in place and the grass moves under him.

We've had one of those in a soccer stadium for some 10 years. Didn't help the club though.

IIRC, the Astrodome in Houston originally had natural field turf. But when playing baseball, the outfielders had trouble seeing fly balls against the glass panes in the dome, so several of the panes were painted over. This proved to be enough of a reduction in sunlight that the grass started dying off and so they ended up painting the bare dirt green. Later, they replaced the natural turf with what would come to be called Astroturf. And so was born one of the worst playing surfaces ever to be used in sports.
