Server Maintenance: Oct. 8-9, 2016

Hopefully this will resolve all the random slowness and inaccessibility we've been experiencing lately.

The Server Host wrote:We will backup the server and do the required maintenance on 10/8/2016 and 10/9/2016. There should only be a few hours downtime, however, we do expect the server to slow down during the backup process.

Oh, I thought it was overlords trying to take over from the overlords we be.

I never like it when my bank goes down for maintenance just as I sit down to pay bills. 4AM is convenient, but "We'll be back up by 8AM" is no help.

I moved the board from my own server here at home to a host provider a couple of years or so ago. Recently, we've had a lot of down time and slowness. Hopefully, these repairs will fix those problems.

Clearly whatever they did, didn't help the Sunday Slowness. :(

Appropriate complaints have been raised.

Well its Monday here and its still slow. ;)

What about an 'In the Mail' thread for our posts? :-k
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station.

If you are seeing an apparent paradox, that means you are missing something.
