Apparently the hosting company that provides services for IRU has been experiencing a Denial of Service (DDoS) attack. Because of this, the actual server that hosts IRU has occasionally been unreachable throughout the day.

They're working on getting it resolved once and for all but we may continue to see sporadic outages.
No trees were killed in the posting of this message.
However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

That happened to our ISP a couple weeks ago or so. wring sat there at the computer for two hours chanting "I still can't get on the internet" every 40 seconds.

There was an hour or two of outage that just ended - about 17:30 (or earlier) - 8:50 CEST

Yeah, I saw. They supposedly gave us a dedicated IP address so hopefully it won't happen again. They are still experiencing the attack though.
