Outage: 2014/1/25-26

Postby Lance » Sun Jan 26, 2014 5:18 pm

Our outage over the past 24 hours was due to my own stupidity.

I was reconfiguring some internal network stuff and inadvertently turned on a firewall that blocked all inbound traffic to the server.

I was all set to start bitching to AT&T again and then found my own mistake. Glad I found it before making myself look like a fool.

Sorry 'bout that.

:glp-adminpower: <- Isn't always perfect.

And AT&T didn't contact you to recommend changes to your firewall configuration?

The bastards!

Did we just have another outage, or was it just me?

But now its all good, Phew! :-)
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station.

If you are seeing an apparent paradox, that means you are missing something.
