We were down for a few hours as a result of updating PHP, the engine that runs the forum.

Having not been on in some time I can confirm that in fact the forum is faster by a large factor from the way it used to be. Perhaps even ~8x or more from the old days of 4 second hesitations.
And this is on some flaky hotel internet I'm robbing too. Very nice.
