Removed Feature: Limit Image Width

Things you should know about what's going on. New features and procedures will be announced here.

Removed Feature: Limit Image Width

Postby Lance » Mon Jul 11, 2005 12:08 am

**ABANDONED: Does not work satisfactorily.**

The Limit Image Width feature will limit the size of embedded images. Hopefully, this will prevent larger images from blowing out the column width and forcing scroll bars on the page.

There is nothing you need to do to use this new feature. Image resizing is done automatically. Clicking the reduced thumbnail will display the full sized original.

Example:

This 800x600 was automatically resized to 550x413.

Thank you. :) I took it in Las Vegas this January after noticing an odd red glow coming through my (west facing) window.

It was even more spectacular in person. :D

I am backing out this mod due to it's inconsistant behavior.

But leave it...

I'm going to look for another solution and your post is a good test case.
