An Overlooked Announcement

Postby Lance » Thu Mar 02, 2006 3:46 pm

With as busy as things have become around here, I found myself in need of help in a hurry. I approached KOS and asked if he'd mind becoming a moderator and help me sort things out. He graciously accepted the battlefield promotion to Brevet Moderator.

Now that things are settled down a bit, I'd like to take this opportunity to make KOS's appointment a permanent one.

Khrushchev's Other Shoe, please kneel:

"In the name of God, St Michael and St George, I give you the right to bear thread tools and the power to meet bannishments!"

Now, arise Sir BigFoot!

<the crowd roars>

<the trumpets sing>

I object. This proclamation is an insult to my faith (or lack thereof).

See Excalibur. The words spoken by Lance (or similar words) were spoken with both relevant parties in a castle moat up to their waists, in the middle of a battle. See Patrick Stewart and Liam Neeson, among others. Nigel Terry as King Arthur, which marks at least the second time he has played an English king - one fictional king, and one future king (at the time of the film's action).

Heh. I own that movie on DVD. I haven't seen it in a while though. I would watch it now, having a snow day and all, but I'm going to go take a nap. Whee.

I guess I should call off the hit squad that I sent to kill KOS for daring to make fun of me now...

Well, a dead mod is usually a less productive one, probably a good idea. :lol:

I wasn't thinking of productivity, I was thinking of power. KOS now has the power to actually get the power of his avatar.

He'll be a roving dictator working for another dictator anytime now.

While the rule here are admittedly few, killing a moderator would most certainly be a bannable offense. At least a temporary ban, anyway...

What if I kill you, and overtake your position before any punishment can take place?

Oh, wait, too late to answer, judging by the heavy breathing on your back...

You would suffer the wrath of the pissed-off minion.

And trust me, this is not a fate you would choose for yourself if you had the ability to make an informed decision.

Which minion? Teri Tait?

I could take her.

Well, I'm waiting for you to give me surrender terms before I do anything.

Terms?

I think he wants you to surrender unconditionally.

KOS is all mine, well next time he cums through Chicago. I'll get a hotel room at the airport. That will make "meeting" easier. :wink:

He would have things backwards, then. Because of that, I guess I'll have to adjust...
